If you think that a maintainer is MIA, the right place to communicate that is the MIA team; see http://wiki.debian.org/Teams/MIA for details. If you have noticed that a package is out-of-date, the right place to communicate that is the bug tracker; check the package’s existing bugs to make sure there isn’t already a “new version available” bug, and if there isn’t, file a wishlist bug. > It can't in these cases just wait a couple of years before updating.
